Highlights of Jetfire® Ignition Process

Step 1

During Intake, purge air through the purge assembly efficiently replaces prechamber residuals from previous cycle with fresh air.

Step 2

During mid-Compression, fuel is injected into the prechamber and fresh air-fuel mixture prepared for spark.

Step 3

Combustion starts inside the pre-chamber prior to peak compression leading to the chemically active turbulent jets entering the main combustion chamber. 

Step 4

Combustion starts inside the main chamber, leading to the flow being pushed into the pre-chamber.   

Expansion and Exhaust proceed & process starts again with the beginning of Intake.
